Captain Blaze to Captain Charles-
Blaze and Charles were very. The rain kept them cooped up indoors, and it didn't look like it was
stopping. So all they did on this rainy afternoon was sit staring lifelessly through the window. Blaze got up and
went to the where some frying pans and
pots were hanging on the wall. He tugged a small
out from his room and lined up a few grapes on top of it. He took the bowl that the grapes were in and stood a
banana up inside. He then took two chairs and put them next to the .
"Charles, he yelled, "get on fast, it's going to leave without you!" Charles, who was and
came running from the living room. "Sit, said Blaze, you could fall from liftoff." Charles sat down.
Captain Blaze pressed all of the grape-buttons on
the control panel. The
frying pan-monitors flashed on and showed the sky above them. The engine started as Captain Blaze pressed another
button. Captain Charles pushed the banana-steering wheel foward as the rocket blasted into the air..... The monitor
pictures got clearer and clearer until at last they could see a moon up ahead. Shiny metal helmets, which were
hanging near the monitors, were put on as soon as they landed. The to the capsule was opened and they saw a wonderous in front of them. No one was in sight and they wanted to do everything at the same
time. They picked up moon and in craters weightlessly.They explored every and of this moon, and
made up a secret code called "N.A.S.A." To them, it stood for,

. As a rule, they had to say 'Captain Blaze to Captain
Charles' or 'Captain Charles to Captain Blaze' before either would respond. They also added 3 very important rules:

All at once the boys looked at each other... in the stillness of this dark planet, they suddenly felt very alone...Ring,
ring, ring - the sound of a telephone interrupted their silence..ring, ri-- "Hello?" - it was Charles'
